According to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News (via MLB Trade Rumors) the Rays have acquired outfielder Kyle Hudson from the Texas Rangers for “future considerations.”

Hudson played 14 games for the Orioles in 2011, going 4-28. He also had 485 plate appearances split between single-A, double-A, and triple-A last year, hitting  .296 with no home runs and 41 stolen bases.

I dunno. Based solely on instant google knowledge, Hudson wouldnt seem to be a lock to make the opening day roster more than anyone else. He has literally zero power, his main game seems to be speed based although he gets caught stealing at a pretty high rate. The O's got caught in a technical roster situation and lost him to the Rangers who are relatively loaded compare to the Rays at OF. I would expect/hope him to swinging a bat in Durham next weekend at best.
