It’s a slow news day. And as a former catcher, I tend to obsess over what the Rays do behind the plate. Needless to say, we are pretty excited that Jose Molina will be back there for 90-100 games this season. And in doing so, we hope this is catching gear that he will be using. We don’t recall any other Rays catchers using equipment with so much of the sky blue, and we are kinda digging it.

I like the extra sky blue as well but considering that more sky blue seems to be the theme with Rays Spring Training uniforms as opposed to Regular Season uniforms, I’m guessing this is just a Spring Training thing.

Don’t think there is any chance he will catch 90+ games, if he does.. he will be useless in Sept/OCT…He’s 90 yrs old in catcher years..Rays are still hurting at this position…

He will be a godsend to every possible battery in our organization.

Best new signing of the offseason as far as complimenting every Ray pitcher and backstop up and down the Rays foodchain

Gotta remember like last year Roalie the Goalie he was always a backup goalie for his career and look at last year..Ride him hard and he will produce but after this year…Sorry but your time is up. So he might be older but still should have good legs for a strong year. I hope he goes 100 games.
