Earlier today we got a sneak peek at the Rays’ 2012 promotional schedule. One of the items we were looking forward to was the Don Zimmer “Zim Bear.” Well, here it is. You guys decide: cute or scary? Also, the Evan Longoria walk-off figurine is below…

Both are super cool in their own unique way! Would love to have the walk-off figure, I still get goosebumps when they replay those moments on the MLB channel and whatnot

The Walk off figurine is ok, but that Zimmer bear is beyond creepy. Some kid wakes up in he middle of the night with that thing looking at them in the face. Better get out the rubber sheets.

The Zim Bear appears to have been made by ripping the face off a cute teddy bear and replacing it with an septuagenarian. As far as the figurine…I think they use one generic model for every single one. Couldn’t that also be any Latin or African-American player too?

Good points. The face is spot-on. And that’s probably why we only see the side-view of Longoria. It already appears that it looks nothing like Longo.
