According the fine folks at Fox Sports Florida and Sun Sports, the Rays season opener pulled in a 5.1 average household rating (~91,000 homes). That is the highest rating for a season opener since the Rays inaugural season, when the Rays first-ever game drew a 9.2 rating (on a non-cable station).

The 5.1 rating is a 6.3 percent increase over last season’s opener, also against the Orioles.

It would be cool to see him back in the Rays uniform but another lefty? I really think Ramos can get righties out, I have no doubt McGee can and if JP looks even close to JP, he can get anyone out. Might have all 3 if they decide to option Sonny or DL Russell but that's a long time away.

I say hire him as the new hitting coach, he sure knows how to give up hits anyway.

I think it was during the last spring training game televised...Todd Kalas picked up hot dogs or sausages or something for Brian and Dewaayne. By the time he got to the booth, he only had one. Brian said something like, "well, we can each eat from either end." After an awkward second, Dewaayne goes, "well, not at the same time." It was pretty hysterical.

Yea he can be a little too "giggly" at times, although he has cut down on it. But they do have much better chemistry than Dewayne did with Kevin. It'll be hard to match Staats and Magrane though. They did a great job w/ garbage on the field most of the time.
