The Rays announced that Evan Longoria has been placed on the DL with a strained left oblique. Felipe Lopez will be added to the roster.
Lopez is not on the 40-man roster. The Rays will need to make a corresponding move to free open a spot.
Also, Johnny Damon has been scratched today with a sore calf.
