RI Baseball Book Club (Update)
RI Book Club March 5th. 2011, 8:00amWe had planned to have the first meeting of the “RI Baseball Book Club” this weekend. But due to the unexpected birth of our second daughter, we got a little behind on the book of the month, “The Bullpen Gospels” by Dirk Hayhurst.
Actually, that is not true. The birth was expected. What was unexpected — or what was forgotten — was just how much work 8 pounds of love and terror can be. Especially when there is already an 18-month old running around.
Anyway, we promise we will be ready next weekend. Post will go up on Saturday morning.

“Introducing The RI Baseball Book Club” [RAYS INDEX]
No worries. I read the book within a couple days of the announcement. Can’t remember everything, hence I should probably read it again. There were 2 stories in the book that made me laugh so hard, I was having difficulties breathing. I read one of the stories to my wife. Her comment – yes it is funny, but there are some images she wishes she no longer had in her head.
Just saw this now but I was reading it anyways. I think I’m like 70 pages away from finishing, so count me in on this.
