Just a head’s up…this Saturday will be the first “meeting” of the RI Baseball Book Club, in which we will discuss “The Bullpen Gospels” by Dirk Hayhurst. Feel free to stop by and participate even if you haven’t finished the book. We don’t judge.
Even if you haven’t started the book yet, you can finish it by Saturday. I am the slowest reader I know and I’m cranking through it pretty well. It’s tightly written with good pacing.
Hey Prof, two things. First, I’ve not yet finished the book, but I’m stoked about the book club idea. Second, and this might be a dumb question, but looking at the front page of the site I wonder when, or if, you’re gonna add the 2010 banner. Are you waiting till the team does it, or are the Rays now good enough to treat divisional titles as trifling badges that entail neither consequence nor honor?
We still havent decided what to do about adding a banner. But if we do, it will come during the first week of the season about the same time as the team.

Prof – you have a time and a method for interaction?
still working out those details, but it should be pretty informal and come and go as you please.

Finished this up a couple of days ago and just finished The Extra 2% so I guess I’m set for a couple of book clubs, lol.
think it is safe to say that “The Extra 2%” will be the next book.
