Fernando Perez may have been the other player going to the Cubs in the Matt Garza trade, but that doesn’t mean he is going to let Cubs fans to mock him. At least not without being creative and funny.

The Cubs Brickyard wrote a post making fun of ‘Nando that somebody forwarded to Perez (translation: Perez googled his own name). And rather than let the post die a quick painless interweb death, Perez unloaded with his own script of fury.

Damn, we are going to miss ‘Nando Calrissian.

Thanks for the link — but did you really mean “script of furry” as in furry little animals? Or script of fury?

Thank you for posting, Cork. Reading ‘Nando’s response, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. You are correct – he will be missed, albeit not for the reasons we normally miss a player.

Perez has a little soft shell…Wait till the Chicago fans rip into Pena after his 150th strike out…we’ll see if we get that famous Pena smile!

The guy at Cubs Brickyard did have enough class (or enough smarts to know that he picked the wrong dude to trade barbs with in Fernando) to post a nice apology. So, half-credit there.
