Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Rays and Orioles have talked about a trade that would center around Jason Bartlett and relief pitcher David Hernandez.

Hernandez, a right-hander, made 41 appearances for the O’s last year (8 starts) with a 4.31 ERA (4.48 FIP) with 72 strikeouts and 42 walks in 79.1 innings. His fastball is about 94-95 on the gun.

Oh great…the Rays will love facing Bartlett at the plate about 100 times next year…Watch out for Baltimore next year in the division….no one patseys no mo!

  2. Edward says:

I guess this is how the rays will be rolling during the off-season. They will be trading for a guy who cant pitch. We better get somebody else who is good from the o’s in order to complete a trade for bartlett

  3. phil says:

every day ss for a middle reliever? NOOOOO

  4. Beth says:

Bartlett for Hernandez can’t possibly be the whole story.

  5. phil says:

Oriole fans don’t like the trade from their side
