Season ends on a Wednesday? I guess that gets the playoffs started on a weekend, which is good. But that is weird. Never been that way that I can ever recall.
Yep, that is new for next year, as well as starting the season on a Thursday night. MLB will tell you they want the World Series to end in October. But of course, TV ratings and money were a big factor.

The Rays play the Yankees only 2 times until July 6th.
Interesting schedule. A little early to thinking about it though.
