The images above are from THIS POST over at Uniwatch in which they examine monochrome possibilities for various teams. Call us crazy, but we kinda like the all-navy blue look on the right. Reminds us of the style used by the Cubs for a few years in the early part of the 20th Century.

I like both mockups. The powder blue alts are distinctive… too many teams, including the Rays, use dark blue. UniWatch posts lots of mockups every week.
OMG, those look like my dad’s old PJs. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Um, no.
I was thinking along similar lines to Amanda — the all navy uni reminds me of the one-piece sleepers I used to put on my kids on cold nights when they were toddlers. So I guess that’s a no from me.
The only way a a all dark blue uniform would work is if the Rays ditched the ugly baby blues, and created a rays style conductor hat like they used to wear in the early days of baseball.

an all
They would also have to require stirrups and those really short sleeves.
I like these.
When will they make a uniform with the name of the city they are from? I also don’t mind the one on the right. Maybe throw in a white hat with blue brim.
my initial reaction was they look like pajamas…
The dark blues are good, but definitely need a stovepipe cap to complete the ensemble. The baby blues … well, as a jersey, they are pathetic. But put together as a monochrome body costume, they look just precious! Which is not what you want in your baseball team’s uni.
Under absolutely no circumstances.
Simply put…PUT TAMPA BAY ON THE FREAKING ROAD UNIFORMS!! Plain, simple, easy…THAT’S IT!!
Dark colors are for “up North” where thing are gloomy…
Bright colors are for Florida….sunny and bright…
Seen any dark business suits in Florida lately?
I like the uniforms how they are now. I do not like those. To much of the same color. I like the white & grey pants to break it up.
