the real question should be, how will Steve Duemig drop a turd into this good news come tomorrow?
Get a grip, would you? I’d rather hear someone like Steve, who has his own opinions, even when I don’t agree with them, instead of someone kissing a team’s ass and pretends everything’s sunshine and lollipops.
Why don’t you look at the past week on this very blog, and you’ll see some of the exact same things that Steve has questioned. It would be a very dull place here on RI if Cork just pretended everything was perfect.

um, everything is not perfect, I know that, in fact i’m still a bit pessimistic of our chances to go all the way, but Steve likes to take a dump on any good news for this team, when we swept New York in Yankee stadium he spent a whole segment mocking the fans for being happy about it, Steve needs to get a grip if anything
Amen sista! Steve tells it like it is and I love that about him. I was at the game last night and all I can say is WOW!! The excitement was almost like being at a playoff game. I was also at the game when Edwin Jackson threw his no no against us and that was no fun to watch! Great to be on the other side for once!! Go Rays!
Steve does not tell it like it is. Steve says what he thinks he needs to say to get the callers calling. That said I have no problem with him. I find his show entertaining.
Oh yeah I almost forgot. Way to go GARZA!!!!
ok I know this is not the time, but Jaso = offense, Dioner is better with the pitching staff, so if Dioner/Kelly have the same awful offense, why does Kelly keep playing?

I feel like the boys are turning a corner again. Also nice to see Joyce getting on base via the trot rather than the walk.
It was just a matter of time. We all knew that Garza would throw one at some point; he has flirted with a few no-hitters in the past, and everyone knows he has the stuff. Nice to see it finally happen for us, not against us! Congrats Matt, Go Rays!
Wow, awesome game, the best game in franchise history behind the ALCS game 7.
I was shaking so bad, I didn’t ever think he was going to get it at all during the game. Those last three innings felt like forever and Matt Garza is the happiest person on earth right now.
Wow, the first in franchise history!, we have Price who’s the best pitcher as of now. and Garza who threw a no hitter, who would I rather have as of this moment?. Garza!

Ha, I love it! The Rays are making guys cry and it’s over something awesome this time!
I couldn’t watch the game…I would peek on MLB tv and then watch MLB Network where they would show the highlights. I’ll watch the full game tomorrow since I can’t jinx it by watching it since it’s over

Awesome game! What’s impressive is that we managed to win and score 5 runs on just 3 hits. Great job, Garza, Zo, and Joyce!
I think Garza has been teasing us with this for awhile now. At least it only took us 13 years for this to happen and not 49 (and counting). Now I just need to see R.A. Dickey no-hit the Yankees at some point this season
was my first rays game ever (I live in VA). Great decision. I’ll never forget this even when I’m 90 years old
I believe it was 2 years ago when Cork predicted Garza would be the first Ray to throw a no-hitter. Props Cork!
Of course ESPN had to start and finish their segment on Garza with a dig about the Rays attendance.
I noticed that too. Is 17k for a Monday night that bad??
I did a quick check of the other games — the only game that came close to our attendance was in Toronto (vs. Baltimore). Even Kansas City outdrew us. Philly had over 40,000.
Of all the games to pass out during (and it happened in the middle of the sixth, no less)! I missed the last 3.5, but I loved how Dewayne Staats never used the phrase “no hitter” he always said “he’s faced the minimum number” over and over.
