Bobby Ramos And Rafael Soriano Are Close…Maybe Too Close

That is bullpen coach Bobby Ramos sitting between the legs of Rafael Soriano. It appeared as though Soriano was giving Ramos a backrub. Or maybe he was braiding Bobby’s hair.

During one game a few weeks back, I saw a pitcher (I thought it was Niemann all though that doesn’t make sense in the bullpen) rubbing on Ramos’ thigh. Stats made a joke about them loosening Ramos up in case he needed to pinch run.
I can’t remember who it was. Maybe Balfour, but this is true.
He was massaging his thigh for awhile

The look on Bobby’s face tells me there’s more than braiding happening there. Good thing it was a late game – I’d hate to be the parents trying to explain to their kids what any of that has to do with baseball.

In case you haven’t noticed, baseball (and most team sports) are filled with this sort of thing. The the players are constantly patting each others’ butts and engaging in group hugs. How many pictures have you seen of victorious pitchers jumping into the arms of their catchers?
If you are grossed out by men touching each other, go watch golf. Otherwise, grow up and get over it. I feel like I’ve stumbled into the middle school message board here.
sheesh beth! They cant have any fun? Oh yeah what makes it perfect is Ramos shaves his head, so he has to be braiding his neck and back hair!!
Ramos looks like a drunk Homo…. who just got his head blown off by the big Black Guy….Sorry but true!
Oh hai, this happened again tonight when Adam Russell did the same thing to Bobby Ramos.. and it was against the same team.
