hangoverThe Rays jumped back up a couple of spots in this year’s rankings of the top farm systems by Baseball America. The Rays are second, behind only the Rangers, who repeat in the top spot.

The Rays will need a strong draft next summer if they want to stay near the top. The top 3 players in the organization, Desmond Jennings, Wade Davis and Jeremy Hellickson could all see time in the big leagues this year and may no longer count as prospects in 2011. Of course the Rays will have at least 4 picks in the first two rounds that could go a long ways towards replenishing the system.

Kaplar article.....thats some sort of satire....right....There are Red Sox outfielders rolling over in their graves.....Kaplar wouldn't make our local High Schools "best of the decade" team!

BJ Upton projections for 2010...even the "experts" project .250-.260BA
    and 13 HRs.
Is that much of an improvement over 2009... .240/11hr/55rbi's....
He will be here because of low salary....but do we really need a center fielder that can't really hit???
