Let’s be real. Reid Brignac has no business taking Joe Dillionaire’s spot on the roster. He wouldn’t get any PT and even if he did, he wouldn’t be that impressive. I’m not going to be impressed w/ that guy until he starts hitting major league pitchers, not AAA dudes.
As for Zobrist, Maddon said something about him having trouble with down and in breaking stuff. I’m not stat/pitch chart guy, but it’s a classic case of the scouts figuring out how to pitch him. Now, let’s see if he can make the adjustment. Those types of adjustments are what make Longo such a good ball player.
Sounds like good news to me when the first two on the “who’s not” list are on there because of lack of play time…when that’s our biggest problem, it’s a good thing.
