Rays To Wear Throwbacks In July?

Throw-Back Jersey game will be Sat.,July 11th vs Oakland A’s. They will be wearing 1998 era jerseys. I got this straight from Marketing.
Great Googly Moogly! We don’t even know where to start. Should we be excited? Should we vomit? Should we vomit while jumping up and down in excitement?
Strange. Strange indeed.
So many questions unanswered: Was there really a demand for the return of the Rainbow Warriors this soon? Will all the players be fined for wearing a “Devil Rays” jersey? Is this a reaction to the team’s Devil Raysian play in the first half?

I think it’s awesome! I think it’s one of those things, after the success last year you kind of have fond memories of the bad times, and they don’t seem quite as bad. Are they going to have former players come back too, like Bubba Trammell, Kevin Stocker, and Quinton McCracken?
I just don’t know what to think. For a sport where superstition runs rampant, I just don’t like the vibe of this. You can equate superstitions to confidence, and that’s one thing this year’s team is missing over last. On the other hand, a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet.
But come on marketing! The Rays are playing the Nats this weekend. Couldn’t you have rolled it out *this* weekend … you know … just in case …

as much as i hate looking at the original uniforms, i always like seeing teams play in throwbacks. i would rather see the rays play in the green uniforms, but it is obviously too soon to play in those because we had them 2 years ago.
Where the St. Pete Pelicans jerseys again…those are sharp looking.

I like the St Pete Pelican gear too! I really wanted on of the fitted caps, but they didn’t have them in my size…
