Brevard Co. 1, Charlotte 0 (9; gm 2). David Newmann’s strong start was spoiled when Charlotte failed to score. Newmann pitched 6 shutout innings with just 2 hits and 2 walks to go with 8 Ks…Greg Sexton had 2 of Charlotte’s 3 hits.
Bowling Green 1, Greenville 0. Joe Cruz pitched 5.2 scoreless innings to even his record at 2-2…Tim Beckham had the night off.

- Pat Burrell will take his rehab stint to Charlotte tonight for 1 game. It also happens to be $1 beer night. There is no way this ends well.
