- Jason Isringhausen reinjured his surgically repaired elbow and was placed on the DL. The Rays promoted Winston Abreu from triple-A to take Izzy’s place. Abreu was dominating the IL with 49 strikeouts in 32 innings with only 14 hits and 10 walks. He has a 1.41 ERA and 10 saves. Abreu has appeared in 33 big league games with the O’s and Nationals.
