post script: if Burrell can’t hit and can’t play why don’t they send him to the 15 day DL, have Aybar/Zobrist DH, and then they can call-up Joyce to get a few games under his belt… if it goes well he can stay, otherwise when Pat’s back Joyce goes back down?
I 100% agree. This would be a great, non-intrusive time to get Joyce some ABs against major league pitching to determine how ready he really is.
