Rays Marlins Baseball

Time to bring back the GBT – The Good, The Bad and The Telling sandwich, where The Bad is nice and lean and the The Telling is ripe.

No GBT or Sunburst today but wanted to take a moment to point out that the Rays are now one game over .500 at 23-22. This is the first time the Rays have been over .500 since they were 4-3.

As a result, we will no longer be referring to the team as the “Devil Rays.” We started this mini-protest on May 15th. At the time the Rays were 16-20.

Little did we know that it would only take them 9 days to get back above even, going 7-2 in that span. In those 9 days, we made 32 references to the “Devil Rays,” including one over at MLB Trade Rumors, where we moonlight from time to time. Since the run to a winning record happened much quicker than we expected, we will round up the fine to $100 for the Rays Baseball Foundation.

Happy Memorial Day weekend, everyone. I have great appreciation and respect for your friends and family and all others who don the uniforms.

Go Mets, Go Braves and Go *shudder* Phillies, let's go for the sweep and close the gap just a little more going into the new week. I'm hoping for 8 from Shields, one from Kenny Powers/The Flavor Thayver, and a few more RBI from E-Lo.

Quick funny story for you guys today. (well at least I got a kick out of it) I went to a banquet last night for High School Coaches of Pasco County at Saddlebrook. They must have joined the same "Devil Rays" protest because on the back of the program it listed the sponsors. One of them being the "Devil Rays". I got a chuckle out of it and thought of you guys.

Onto the RAYS now, I really like what this team is doing right now. Although BJ is still batting under .200, he has had some really good at-bats lately and has been hitting the ball a lot harder. If Price comes in and dominates and we don't baby him too much, we might be finally joining the race at the top of the AL EAST.

No pics of the Grucho Marx mustaches? A good win all around yesterday.

Need a comeback against Johnson to close that gap.

Подойдя к второму обзацу необходимо будет побороть в себе желание его пропустить
