Durham 8, Rochester 7. Making his first start with the Bulls, Matt DeSalvo allowed 3 runs in 4 innings…Matt Joyce was 0-2 with 3 walks…John Jaso was 0-4 and is now hitting .221.

Carolina 7, Montgomery 2. Heath Rollins is now 5-3 after giving up 5 runs in 5.2 innings on 10 hits and a walk…Rhyne Hughes was 2-4 and did not strike out…Desmond Jennings was 1-4 with a double. In his first dry patch of the season, Jennings is only 3-28 in his last 8 games to drop his average to .360.

Clearwater 10, Charlotte 1. Jesse Darcy dropped to 0-5 after allowing 6 runs in 5.1 innings…Greg Sexton hit his 3rd home run for the Stone Crabs.

The Bulls signed Matt DeSalvo from the Independent Atlantic League. DeSalvo made 6 starts for the Yankees in 2007 and 2 relief appearances for the Braves last year.
