Ladies and Gentlemen…We give you…ZORILLA! The Eighth Wonder of the World!

The masses have spoken and and now Zorilla makes his debut on the back of an official “Rayshead” t-shirt.

  1. Rayhawk says:

    THANK YOU, now can Joe get him some playing time or is he going to be our JOHN HAVLECHEK?

  2. MikeD says:

    heh – there’s something in the TBT today, and maybe in the Times, with Joe saying the Zorilla shirts will be showing up soon. Guess he isn’t a regular Rays Index reader

  3. Dirtbag Fan says:

    Here’s an intersting tidbit I picked up while composing my “Ode To Zobrist” at my blog;

    get this: a Zorilla is an african skunk…

    • funny. I actually noticed that when I made the first shirt. I have worked with animals and zoos for 12 years and have never heard of a Zorilla before. I think it might be the same thing we call a striped skunk, but never got that far in my research.

  4. Amanda says:

    Ok, ok, ok .. I’ll admit it. I turned roto geek this year. And, I’ve got Zorilla on my team. (Heh .. I’ve got Pena and Zorilla … not doing too bad in HRs.) But this is the update for Zobrist after last night’s game, provided by

    Recommendation: The homer was his eighth of the season. At this point it’s kind of a mystery how Gabe Kapler, who is batting .200 with no home runs, is stealing away at-bats from him.

    Can’t agree more. Why don’t we put Pena and Bartlett on the bench, too, so we can save our best bats in late-inning situations!! (This almost sounds like the logic behind resting 25-year-olds and not putting your best lineup out there every night.)

    • Don says:

      (Ben) singing Zobrist song since the begining….
      Everyone thinks Maddons A genius because he keeps Zo on the bench so he can pinch hit a home run every night…not possible….
      Zo needs to be playing(starting) every night …granted in different positions…to get max. production from him….
      Maddon doesn’t get the FACT he is one of our BEST Hitters!!

  5. The Zorilla frenzy is amazing. Never saw it coming. Next to the “Dirtbag” T, The Zorilla T’s are by far the second-most popular
