Gross is always hitting late on pitches. However, he appears to be very careful with the strike zone.
It was nice to see Pena hit something more up the middle. (Ok it was in the gap, but at least it wasn’t a total pull.)
Oh, just to remind everyone, according to BP’s calculations, the Rays lost 23 runs last year on base running mistakes.
