- Each member of the Rays’ postseason roster took home a $223K bonus for reaching the World Series. In all, 43 coaches, players and staff got a full-share, while the team also awarded partial shares to players that spent time with the Rays during the regular season…A $223K bonus is quite a haul for players making at or near the major league minimum of $400K. The post bashing Maddon style kind of pisses me off. I hope that dude who wrote it didn’t know the picture he used of Maddon is of Joe shopping for food his annual Thanksmas dinner where he personally cooks for like 300 homeless people.
It’s all in fun. I noticed the way Maddon dressed away from the diamong during the run to World Series so we had a little fun with it. I commend Maddon for his efforts in helping the homeless and no I didn’t know that he was shopping for that effort. I’m sorry that the story rubbed you the wrong way, but it was all done in fun. Nothing more, nothing less.
