A little while ago, we offered a consolation prize to Mets fans after Scott Kazmir signed a contract extension with the Rays effectively eliminating any opportunity for the Mets’ former prospect to return to his original franchise and help them “right their ship.”

Well, now we have word from MetsBlog that an actual Mets jersey with “Kazmir 19″ on the back has been spotted at Shea Stadium.

If we have said it once, we have said it a couple dozen times…Mets fans cry when they think of Scott Kazmir.
