Columbus 8, Durham 3. Jae Seo was touched for 6 runs in 5.1 innings on 10 hits and 2 walks. Brian Shackelford walked 3 in 1.2 innings and gave up a 3-run home run. Wes Bankston was 3-4 and drove in 3.
Montgomery 3, Birmingham 2. Jonathon Barratt struck out 6 and allowed 1 run in 6.1 innings. Dale Thayer struck out 2 to pick up his 19th save. Erold Andrus was 3-4 and Reid Brignac was 0-4. Aaron Sisk was 1-4 with 2 RBI and Rhyne Hughes was 0-3 in their AA debuts.
West Virginia 9, Columbus 1. Will Kline struck out 5 in 2 innings, but allowed 2 unearned runs on 2 hits and 2 walks. It was Kline’s 4th professional start and he has now struck out 10 and walked 6 in 9 innings of work.
